Duck Ponds

Go to a Duck Pond! Ducks are funny birds, they make you smile and they are enjoyable to watch. If you’re feeling stressed out or depressed it would be a good idea to get out in nature and spend some time with these little guys. This will make anyone happy and it costs very little. Southern Utah has some great duck ponds. Here are our favorites.

1. St. George Golf Club pond: In Bloomington Hills along Bloomington Hills Dr, there is a great duck pond. Sit down on a bench, feed & observe the ducks.

2. Springs Park : Beautiful park with a large pond and walking path.

3. Tonaquint Park & Nature Center: One of the coolest parks and locations in Southern Utah. The park features eight tournament quality tennis courts, two covered pavilions with picnic tables and barbecues for group picnics, a shaded children’s playground, Tonaquint Nature Center and pond, and loop walking trails that connect to the Santa Clara Trail. Don’t miss the Tonaquint gardens. A gorgeous location, ideal for a romantic walk around the park, family pictures, engagement photos and more.

4. Brooks Nature Park: Located at the top of Main Street, Brooks Nature Park has a nice Pond and beautiful nature. This historic location was the original water source for the settlers of the valley and offers natural wonders found nowhere else in Utah. The park is easily enjoyed by walking the gravel path under the shade of a variety of trees. At the top of the park the trail reaches a small amphitheater and more adventurous hikers can continue up the canyon into the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve trail system where there are amazing views of St. George from on top the mountain. Relax and have a picnic at the trellis covered pavilion.

5. Forest Park: A nice and quiet park with a beautiful walk in the forest by a pond with ducks to feed. The park also includes a pavilion, parking area, playground, restroom, turf grass areas, a paved walking path, drinking fountains, electrical outlets, picnic tables, pond, and new landscaping.
