    St. Patrick’s Day only comes around once a year. Maybe your sweetheart likes to be pinched?  Maybe you are looking for an excuse to say “Kiss me I’m Irish” or maybe your looking for an excuse to eat those Chocolate Gold Pieces, Skittles, or Lucky Charms, you loved as a kid? Whatever you do this St. Patricks Day, make the best of it and be sure that your leprechaun knows how much you appreciate them! Here is some of our favorite St. Patricks Day Date ideas.

    lucky73. Create some Magic. For this activity, you’re going to have to do some preparation beforehand. What you are going to do is impress your date with some cool magic tricks. When I was younger I loved to learn magic tricks. Magic tricks will impress your date, make them smile, keep them in anticipation of what is going to happen next and ultimately have them wanting to know more about you!

    5.  Leapin’ Leprechauns add some fun games to the night! Buy some four leaf clovers at the dollar store and write a variety of activities on the back of them. Tape them up to a wall and take turns picking a clover and doing the activity written on it. You can even split up the clovers between you and your date write down activities on your clovers. Then mix them up and hang them up. That way you’ll each have a say in what activities will take place

U2 is the greatest rock group on earth and they are from Ireland!     Go to A Play! Go to a Live Theater Production: Going to a play is a bit classier than going to a movie. Unlike the movies, the theater has an intermission so you can have time to talk with your date. Almost everybody likes the theater. Each show is unique and there is just something that stands apart from having real life actors instead of a screen to watch.

  • Go Geocaching

    Go Geocaching.

    Did you know that there is buried treasure throughout Southern Utah? Yep and you can find maps and get to information about it at http://www.geocaching.com/.

    Geocaching is basically using a GPS device to find a predetermined location. You follow the GPS device to a hidden location and you will usually find a log book where you can sign your name. It’s common practice that you bring little nic knacks and trade these for the treasure you find. I’ve got cool guitar picks, magnify glasses, and little toys from Geocaching. Use the website to find the GPS locations of several of these locations.

    Go on a bike ride! Southern Utah is one of the greatest places for outdoors and biking.

    Go to or plan a Game Night.

    Playing games is a great way to have fun, laugh and strengthen relationships. Whether is simple card games, board games, interactive video games, a game night is a great way to get the party started.

    Game Haven has game nights and date nights where you can bring your own games or use one of their demo games and have a game night with your date, you’re your friends, or your family.     Check out some local music.

    Jazzy’s Rock N Roll Grill has been Voted Best Place For Live Music in Southern Utah

    SUSWA: The Southern Utah Song Writers Association is a great resource for song writers and musicians in Southern Utah. Members often perform at various locations. Check out their website and click on Calendar for event times and locations. In addition to performances by their members you can attend their Open Mic held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month at the St. George Opera House

    The St. George Tabernacle has FREE live musical events every month. Hear from world class musicians, choirs, vocalist, instrumentalist and local school groups.

    Applebee’s in St. George has a Karaoke night every week and is a popular place for the College aged crowd.

    Twentyfive Main Café & Cake and other restaurants as well often have live music.

     

     

     

  • Rock Climbing

    Go Rock Climbing!

    Paragon adventures has a great indoor rock wall.  Washington Rec center also has a climbing wall, Dixie State University also has a rock wall in the old gym upstairs. Highland park in Washington includes a “muscle-man climbing facility” adjacent to some large Castle Rock wall climbing equipment. Veyo has some good climbing at the crawdad canyon.
