FREE DATE Ideas!
A friend of mine mentioned how he had not been on a date for over a year. He decided he was going to reward himself by buying a nice bicycle paid by the money he had saved by not going on any dates over the past year. I got a good laugh out of his statement. If you are like a lot of people, you might be on a pretty tight budget but you still want to go on dates, get out and have fun and meet some new people. Contrary to popular belief you don’t need to spend a fortune on your date to have fun and build a relationship. Here are some creative ideas for cheap, fun, and yes even FREE date’s that just might help you save a fortune so you can buy yourself the things that you really want.

Late at night you hike up the Dixie Rock at pioneer park, you lay down on your back and look at the red flashing lights upside down. The city lights have now become the “stars in the sky” and the stars in the sky have become their reflection on the “St. George Ocean” many natives have used this trick for years to get their date to look at the stars with them late at night. Just say “Hey have you seen the St. George Ocean yet?” They will be interested in learning what it is.

St. George has many parks; one of my favorites is Mathis Park located at 1820 West Mathis Park Place, just off Dixie Dr. My friends call it the spinning park because much of the playground equipment spins around and is very fun even for older kids. Swing on the swings, Fly a kite, jump up and down and play around like you are a kid again.

17. Shopping Date: Go to the mall, or just simply go shopping together. Some malls have fashion shows, street performers, musicians and all kinds of entertainment built into them. You don’t even have to spend money. Simply window shopping and talking makes an easy going fun date. If you do need to buy something like new clothing, use this as an opportunity to invite that special somebody to come along with you. Just say “Hey I’m going to the store to get some new clothing and I would really like the opinion from somebody who has great style like you.” Women love to shop and they love to express their opinion plus they just might help you look a little more stylish. I even have friends that have gone grocery shopping on their first date. Just because it’s a date doesn’t mean you have to spend a ton of money on them to get to know them or have a good time.
